Music Bugs are delighted to announce that £37,937,79 was raised nationally in our Singathon event for Tommy’s. The week long event which took place in May, encouraged children and parents to be sponsored for singing songs from around the world in their local class. The money raised could fund a PhD student to work at one of Tommy’s 4 research centres for 2 years or a midwife for 12 months to recruit women to take part in clinical studies.
Claire Bennett, founder of Music Bugs said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents and their children who participated in the event with great gusto and enthusiasm. I would also like to extend a special thank you to our wonderful franchisees and Class Leaders who worked so hard during that week to make the event a success for everybody. It was an absolutely fantastic effort all round for such an important charity”.
