Romford
And the surrounding areas...
Sensory music classes for your baby, toddler or pre-schooler in Romford, Hornchurch and surrounding areas.
At Music Bugs we provide gently structured, play-based sessions for children aged newborn to five years where they can learn and have fun in a multi-sensory environment. Our forty-five-minute classes are full of fun and excitement with a large variety of musical instruments and fantastic props such as puppets, hobby horses, floaty scarves, pom-poms, parachutes and a bubble machine. We sing a wide variety of nursery rhymes, counting songs, knee bouncers and action songs and most importantly create a relaxed and informal environment where you and your child can have fun together and make lots of new friends!

I look forward to welcoming you and your little ones to my sessions very soon!
What our parents say:
“Sarah is animated and energetic, knows every child’s name and engages with them throughout the session. Very inclusive class with fun and chat.”
Mary Gleeson – Gran to Lottie (Mini Bugs)
“Sarah Cassidy is so enthusiastic about Bugs, she really gets the kids and parents joining in with all the songs and makes Tuesday mornings very enjoyable. I take my three grandchildren and we all love every minute. We have also booked birthday parties, she’s great.”
Pam Constable – Nanny to Ada, Maeve and Chloe (Family Bugs)
About me:
I have been running Music Bugs classes in the area for ten years now and absolutely love it. The children and parents I have met along the way have been wonderful and I have loved every minute of the music-making madness! Previously to this, I worked for five years in various childcare and education roles including Nursery Nurse, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant, Dance Teacher in a Primary School, Primary School Supply Teacher, Secondary School Cover Supervisor and Exam Invigilator. I worked in many nurseries (private day care, children’s centres and school nurseries) and schools all over London and Essex. Outside of work I am a Brownie and Guide Leader and very much enjoy all the fun and friendship Guiding brings. I love helping the girls learn important life skills, have fun, get creative and make friends for life. Through my experience of working with children in both education and childcare settings I have seen firsthand the benefits of music and learning through play in the early years. I have always had a passion for music and dance and played the cello and piano as a child, from the age of 7 to 18, as well as attending stage school, from the age of 4 to 18 where I did ballet, tap, modern and street dance. I have loved working with children of all ages throughout my career but found that the early years have the most fun! I love this age group as I get to be very creative. I also love being part of the babies’ firsts – first smile, first wave, first time clapping, first time holding a maraca, first time sitting up, first time moving forward, first steps etc. The early years are so important and precious and I just love being part of your babies’ and children’s weekly routine and helping them on their early learning journey as well as seeing them make friends, develop in confidence and gain skills that will help them in their future lives at school and beyond.
Some of the lovely feedback we've received from Music Bugs parents
Sarah is always so lovely, I’ve been taking my son from 4 months old and he now, at 15 months old, stands with Sarah and claps and dances. The variety of instruments keeps him entertained and the props used are really fun and engaging.
Lisa Cruikshank – mum to Charlie (Mini Bugs)
I have been going to Music Bugs classes since my eldest (now 8) was 8 weeks old. She loved it as much as my 2 year old does. Sarah, who runs the classes, is such a lovely person and always shows how much she cares for every child in her class. She always wants each child to feel comfortable and enjoy her class. Each week is jam packed, fun filled and the class flies by.
