Sensory music classes for your baby, toddler or pre-schooler in Rutland
Stamford & Oakham.
Hello and welcome to Music Bugs Rutland!
My name is Louise and I am the franchisee for Rutland, S.Lincs & Leicestershire.
I run fun, lively and engaging music and singing classes for babies, toddlers, pre-school children and of course their grown ups! My background is in education and prior to Music Bugs I was a primary school teacher. Music has always been a big part of my life and in my childhood I enjoyed learning the cello and recorder. In school I loved teaching the recorder and weekly music classes.
At Music Bugs we provide gently structured play- based sessions, where your child can explore and learn in a multi-sensory, stimulating environment. Each session has a mixture of lively/ calm activities to share and enjoy with your child.
We sing a wide variety of nursery rhymes, counting songs, knee bouncers, silly songs and action songs using a selection of percussion instruments and sensory props which include puppets, counting mittens, teddies, pom poms, floaty scarves, themed parachutes, bubble machines and hobby horses.
Music Bugs will help to enhance and develop your child’s use and understanding of language and communication, numeracy, fine and gross motor skills and encourage them to socialise, gain confidence and make friends.
I look forward to meeting you and your little ones soon for lots of musical fun!
Best wishes,
Louise
Some of the lovely feedback we've received from Music Bugs parents
This is a must for any new parent. A structured and interactive class for children of all ages. My son loves going and has attended from 6 weeks old (he’s now nearly 2). Keeps them entertained and helps with their development. Louise is fantastic and welcoming and the kids love their weekly sticker reward. If you’re considering this then please don’t hesitate… I think the fact that there’s a waiting list says it all.

5* experience – A brilliant way to bond with your baby through the use of music, light, colour and movement.Me and my son attended Music Bugs for the first time today after a few trustworthy mummy friends recommended the group. I’m delighted we went as it‘s the most wonderful way to bond with your child while safely helping them to learn and develop in a fun and colourful environment.Louise who runs this group is fantastic! A bubbly, approachable, caring character, who clearly loves what she does. And it’sobvious the happiness and wellbeing of all the babies and mums/dads attending Music Bugs is something very important to her.As an OCD freak, I was initially a bit concerned about what my little Freddie might be handling at the group, so it was reassuring to find out that all the puppets, rattles, props etc are cleaned ahead of every session (let’s face it, it’s inevitable the babies will try and chew them!).Our first session was really enjoyable and I’m already looking forward to the next one.Mrs Homer – Ketton
